Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Veira AI, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
2. The service
Veira provides point-of-sale software, inventory and reporting tools, payment facilitation, and KRA eTIMS compliance features. Veira is a software provider, not a bank, payment institution, or tax agent.
3. Subscriptions
- Plans are billed in Kenyan Shillings (KES), monthly or annually in advance.
- Published prices: Starter, Growth, and Business tiers as shown in the app and on our website.
- Annual plans are billed as 10× the monthly price (two months free vs paying monthly).
- Hardware bundled with annual plans remains Veira property for the subscription term unless purchased separately.
- Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also governed by those stores' terms.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription or as described on our cancellation page. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. See the cancellation page for store-specific steps.
5. KRA compliance
Veira helps you submit eTIMS data when configured. You remain legally responsible for accurate tax reporting, PIN credentials, and penalties arising from incorrect merchant data or misuse.
6. Payment processing
Card and M-Pesa payments are processed by third parties (e.g. Paystack, Tuma, Safaricom). Settlement is between you and those providers. Veira does not hold customer funds.
7. Hardware
Loaned or bundled devices must be returned in reasonable condition when the subscription ends, or purchased at agreed replacement cost if lost or damaged.
8. Data ownership
Your catalog, sales, and customer records belong to you. We provide export tools. After account closure, you may request export within 90 days where legally permitted.
9. Acceptable use
- No fraudulent transactions or chargeback abuse.
- No sharing login credentials outside your authorised staff.
- No misuse of KRA or payment provider credentials.
- Violations may result in immediate suspension.
10. Limitation of liability
Veira is not liable for lost profits, missed sales, or indirect damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid to Veira in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the courts of Nairobi.
